Great place to gear up for all your volleyball needs!
With the ever-changing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, CIF has created a modified volleyball season. Please reference https://cifss.org/news/july-20-2020-update-and-2020-21-sports-calendars/ for additional information.
We are still waiting for direction from SCVA on how this will impact the club season (i.e. tryouts, practice, tournaments, etc.). Unfortunately, until this information is released to us, we cannot provide you with any dates. We are hoping that with the high school season published, the SCVA will follow with dates of their own soon.
Thank you for your patience and please stay tuned.
It’s with a heavy heart that we are sharing the news SCVA has just given us. 2020 Soirée that would have taken place in Vegas in June has been cancelled. This is very sad news to share but is seen as a necessity to keep everyone safe during COVID.
We hope to be participating in 2021 Summer Soiree which will be held in Anaheim, California June 24th – 27th, 2021.
We are happy to announce the release of USA Volleyball's Return to Play Guidelines (https://media.campaigner.com/media/53/533330/2020/ReturntoPlayGuidelines.pdf?id=g10fg55?f_type=file&f_name=ReturntoPlayGuidelines.pdf). These guidelines will be effective May 15, 2020 and will supersede the previously announced ban on sanctions that was scheduled to expire May 22, 2020.
This gives us the permission we need to start practices back up, which falls under San Diego County's Re-Opening under Stage 3 (https://www.countynewscenter.com/county-approves-plan-to-request-accelerated-reopening/). Now we just wait for the approval of Stage 3.
Looks like we are weeks away to getting back in the courts. Start dusting off your gym shoes and touching up on your skills. We are excited to get back in the gym and see everyone!
Coach Mac and family drove around Chula Vista, delivering chocolates to those front line healthcare workers who don't get enough 'THANKS' day to day. Coach and family were welcomed with open gloved hands!!!
Thank you to the Fabulous Flash619 players and their families who donated chocolates:
- Rachel & Rylan GODDARD
- Kennedy WAX
- Maddie CARO
- Jessica CRUZ
- Irelin WALTERS
- Victoria CANAPI
- Vanessa HERNANDEZ
- Savanah STERCK
- Jana YACOUB
- Jackie FLINT-WARD
- April TOUSSANT
Flash families donated 22 boxes of chocolates to Kaiser Permanente - Otay, Sharp Chula Vista Hospital, Scripps Memorial Hospital - Chula Vista and Sharp Rees-Stealy Doctor Offices on H Street and 3rd Avenue.
The Goddard family donated (5) chocolate boxes to the hard working men and women in the trolley maintenance divisions, who are one the many professional groups who seem to be left out of all the public support. They are one of many groups who haven't been able to take a moment to breathe as they are keeping the tracks in service. Casillas Elementary School was also a recipient of the Goddard's generosity as they heard teachers wanted to share the goodies with the students picking up their belongings from school. What a great idea!
We still have approximately 25 boxes ready to be donated and delivered. If you would like to take part in giving back to SD Essential Workers Venmo @Flash619VBC (Name: Amy Macalaguim) $30 and they will take care of distributing.
** CANCELLED **
At this time, SCVA and Volley-Fest have decided to cancel the following events due to COVID-19:
